Congratulations to Penny Wise, VP, Global Public Affairs at 3M, and former President of 3M Canada.

On May 30, Penny received the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leader of the Year for her continued work in Canada over the past number of years.

Penny is the Co-Chair of the Chamber’s Women’s Advocacy Council – leading the way to help break down barriers for Canadian women in business and the workplace.

Penny has also led the path for 3M Canada’s STEM equity programming to help advocate for a more comprehensive strategy to ensure underrepresented communities have equal access to STEM education and career pathways. Through the 3M STEMtalk program (first launched in 2021), the STEM Advocacy Council and helping promote more STEM experiences in Canada through our local and national partnerships - Penny has played a crucial role in advocating for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts in Canada.

Penny has been awarded the Canadian Business Leader of the Year for her spirit of innovation, vision, and commitment to the betterment of Canadian business and communities. Penny’s unwavering dedication sets a precedent for a brighter and sustainable future for Canada. Penny will continue to serve on the Canadian Chamber of Commerce
